WorkNomads is looking for motivated Machine-Build Engineer to join our team in developing first-class machine designs for use in various industrial fields. Your mission will be to meet with clients and understand their needs. You will be involved from idea to machine and production layout design requirements and transform them into working solutions. You will plan and execute the design of various equipment, develop and test prototypes, and work closely with the manufacturing teams to ensure that design specifications are met. You will be responsible for designing, building, and testing machines used in manufacturing processes or custom niche-market products. Your expertise in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation, and manufacturing processes will be critical in creating innovative and effective solutions.
We are recruiting Machine-Build Engineer to join our team, working from the WorkNomads’ homebase in Sofia, Bulgaria (Hybrid).
Dare to have a mission:
- Machine Design: Collaborate with clients and design engineers and stakeholders to conceptualize, develop, and refine machine designs based on production requirements and specifications.
- Mechanical Engineering: Design and integrate mechanical components, assemblies, and systems to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety of machines.
- Automation and Controls: Develop and implement automation and control systems to enhance machine performance, efficiency, and precision.
- Prototyping and Testing: Build and assemble machine prototypes, conduct thorough testing, and analyze results to identify design flaws, improve performance, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Documentation: Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for machines, including assembly instructions, bill of materials, and operating manuals.
- Manufacturing Support: Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure successful machine integration, troubleshooting, and optimization for mass production.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and quality improvement in machine design and production processes.
- Project Management: Lead and coordinate machine build projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure machines comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines.
The tools in your backpack:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or similar required, MSc is preferred.
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a machine-build design engineer.
- Prior experience in automation or manufacturing engineering is highly desirable.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia, Creo, etc.) for machine design
- Familiarity with prototyping and testing techniques.
- Familiarity with Electrical design.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry standards.
- Strong understanding of driving systems and sizing
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities, team player.
- Attentive to detail and critically minded, to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, tools, and manufacturing processes.
- Fluency in English
